Appears to be a lack of postings here for a long time
I have had a pretty good time reading, and gathering information.
Going to begin my own blind tastings at home, wife to do the job of numbering from three bottles I pick.
No place in Central Texas that has anything but blind wine tastings to go to.
Elijah Craig or Four Roses single barrel appears to be my medication of choice for a bad day.  Have plenty of unopened bottles that I need to try.

I like your idea. My wife and I did a blind tasting at home recently. Since then, I have gotten more into bourbon. I have been trying to sample as many as i can. So far, my favorites are:

PVW 20-yr Family Reserve
Weller's
Russell's Reserve

hey everyone, i just got on here to actually let you all know i just pulled a 1960's/1970's bottle of Makers Mark VIP gold wax, sealed , in the original box out of a closet standing upright. i am not a big bourbon drinker but i do appreciate it. i  was offered pretty good money for it but i think it should go to some who would really appreciate a 40+ year old bottle of Makers Mark. any advice ?
